I don't think many today don't appreciate how long Sonic 3 + Sonic & Knuckles was. To complete both these games collecting all 14 Chaos Emeralds was a time commitment and skill level needed to pull this off. Timeless classic.

I know the death egg robot is overdone, but what we got here was extremely underwhelming. The piston boss from Sonic 1 at least took 8 hits instead of 4, which is half. Banger music though.
